Now, as far as my own family goes, I know that they mean well but their taste in kids clothing leaves a lot to be desired. With only Captain Chaos at home this morning – Major D was out with his grandfather – and the weather being on the warm side of perishing we decided to do something outdoorsy. CC dragged his bicycle from the shed and suggested that a brisk cycle was in order.

What a pleasantly satisfying day we spent together yesterday en famillie, it’s just a shame that I was too exhausted to write about it before the natural warmth of being surrounded by those who are dearest to you was overcome by the overwhelming need for a long hot bath and bed.
